SEO for FREE?

Welcome to the SEOcean Company’s blog. If this is your first time here, hopefully for you, it won’t be your last because we will probably open your eyes to some of the simple yet effective SEO tactics used by hugely successful companies to get and maintain good rankings in the major search engines like Google, Yahoo! and MSN (Bing).

With that out of the way, what’s this talk about “free SEO” you ask? Well, nothing of value is truly free in this world unless you’re willing and able to do some unscrupulous things. What we’re talking about is knowledge. As search engines have become the first places people go to find products and services (whether they buy online or not), the marketing game has changed from being print driven, to being driven by having the greatest presence in cyber space. It’s all about being found for the “keywords” that outline what you’re about. Having the knowledge on HOW to do this is very powerful and for those who have it (or at least a fair understanding of it)…Search Engine Optimization can certainly cost little to no money at all.

b) Print the SEO checklist provided – this will be used later on in Step 2.

Step 2.
* If you know HTML + have access to your website’s hosted files

1. Following the SEO checklist you will break your activities down into two groups of tasks (On-Page & Off-Page)
2. Perform all On-Page SEO tasks
3. Both on and off-page SEO should ideally be on going, however, if you followed the SEO checklist and have performed the on-page work satisfactorily, most of your time will now be spent on off-page optimization. Follow the check list on a daily, weekly or monthly basis and give your knowledge away. You will soon be regarded as an expert in your field and the results of this will show in your rankings.
4. Be smart, be active, and remember…no matter how much you can teach…there is always more to be learned
